Integem has introduced the AI Space Explorer Programme, a STEM initiative designed to provide K-12 students with hands-on experience in artificial intelligence (AI), drone engineering, and aerospace applications. The programme includes projects where students build and code autonomous drones and launch high-altitude balloons reaching 100,000 feet.
The programme, developed by leading AI researchers, engineers, and educators, brings aerospace and AI technology to life through interactive projects that teach students to design, build, and programme autonomous drones. They will gain real-world engineering experience while tackling AI-driven navigation, stratospheric exploration, and drone applications in planetary research, environmental monitoring, and disaster response.
The programme meets students at their level, whether they are beginners or experienced in STEM. Elementary students start by building and flying drones while learning basic coding, AI concepts, and aerodynamics. Middle and high school students advance into AI-driven drone navigation, autonomous flight, and stratospheric experiments, collecting real-world data from near space. They can also earn an NVIDIA AI certification, boosting college applications and future STEM career opportunities.
Speaking about the development, Dr. Eliza Du, CEO of Integem, said:
At Integem, we don’t just teach students to fly drones—we empower them to innovate, explore, and shape the future of technology. This programme makes AI, aerospace, and drone engineering accessible and exciting, giving students the skills and confidence to lead in STEM fields.
Students can join Integem’s in-person summer camps in 16 California locations, participate in online courses worldwide, or bring the initiative to their school or group through Integem’s licensing option. Schools and education businesses can include this available course in their curriculum, attracting more students and increasing income while providing cutting-edge STEM education. The platform offers teacher training, curriculum guides, hardware kits, and ongoing support.
The AI Space Explorer Programme ensures that students of all backgrounds can confidently dive into AI and space exploration. No prior coding or engineering experience is required. Whether flying a drone for the first time or programming an AI-driven system, students grow at their own pace. It is more than just an educational course; it’s a launchpad for the future. Whether in a summer camp, an online class, or through a school’s licensed programme, students will gain hands-on experience with the technology shaping tomorrow’s world.
Integem’s licensing option enables schools and organizations to introduce AI and aerospace education without developing a curriculum from scratch. Institutions can expand STEM offerings, attract more students, and increase revenue while providing an industry-leading programme in AI, drones, and aerospace technology.
